So in 2023 i applied to join the army but got denied because i put down that i have autism but i mistakenly done that i have never received a diagnosis only suspected. and in December itried again got through to the ACC but i sent of my medical documents and was still denied. (Should I Appeal)
so allow me to put more Information So i have only been Suspected of Having Autism but never received a diagnosis when i tried joining the second time when i sent off my Medical Record and well it still said "You Have Been Diagnosed with Autism Or Asperger`s Syndrome" but i have never been or recived a Diagnosis would i have any right or Ground to appeal my Rejection and try Joining again
If this is on your medical record then there is not much you can do to appeal it, you would need supporting evidence to say that you have never been diagnosed or misdiagnosed if that is the case.
For this any evidence you have in your favour you can use you should collate together in order to appeal such as letters from doctors etc. Autism or Asperger aren't necessarily bans from joining however these may affect you application depending on severity and or medication being taken if any.
If you have applied twice on two separate occasions and were rejected from both its because you would have needed to appeal your first one by putting in a second or a third will just revert back to your original application status. So you would need to go through the appeals process to get this rectified.
Please bear in mind that the medical team will always have the final say so an appeal is not always guaranteed to be successful and can be a long process.
