29 commando royal artillery
If you were to want to do the all arms commando course, do you have to be recommended to do it or can you apply yourself. Also how soon after your basic training could you consider this to be an option you may wish to go with. how would you join 148 (Meiktila) Commando Forward Observation?

The Army Commando cse is a hard course. You can highlight your desire to do it to you manager, if you meet the start states (that could be time served, fitness standards, qualifications, rank), then they will bid for place on the cse for you.
